All About Autumn DSP

When fall starts to show it’s colors, I have always been so jealous of those that lived in an area that got to see the rich and vibrant fall foliage hues up close vs my view from my dry warm SoCal neighborhood. Now that I live in the lovely state of Minnesota, the colors are part of my morning walk every day! My husband and I are planning a drive north this weekend, where more trees have started changing, and I can get my fill (like that will EVER happen)!

I notice that the amazing All About Autumn Specialty DSP is not orderable again, but it will be back the week of October 9th, so keep checking! In the mean-time, I am enjoying using it for all my card needs.

While the All About Autumn Suite Collection is not orderable right now (because of the DSP and ribbon combo), all the other parts are lovely and have wonderful elements to each of them. The DSP is especially lovely as it has this yummy foil on the back of each sheet!

Special Delivery

I am so excited that Stampin’ Up! gave us the Trucking Along Bundle with the adorable stamp set and punch! I loved pairing it with the All About Autumn DSP and the Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP. The Verde copper color made for an old rough truck for this rustic masculine card.

This card may look hard, but it was easy to put together and the final look is amazing!

Because the Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP has a shine to it, I used my Stazon Jet Black ink pad, then added a little more ink to areas that didn’t show up as dark as I wanted (tires). I did fussy cut around the truck so I did not have extra paper around the image.

I am super stoked that the Pretty Peacock CS came back as part of the core group of colors, as the paper is so beautiful! I used Very Vanilla Thick CS for my A2 card base. I used the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder on a 5-3/8”x4-1/8” layer of Pretty Peacock CS, then roughed up the edges and then glued it to the card front. I used a 3”x3-1/2” piece of DSP with a 3-1/4”x3-3/4” piece of Copper Clay CS for a layer and glued it to the card front, upper left corner. I stamped on a 1” scrap of Very Vanilla CS the sentiment in Copper Clay Classic Stamp Pad ink, then used the Banners Pick A Punch to flag one end and popped it up on the left side of my DSP layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I had a 1/4” sliver of the same DSP, flipped it over and slipped it just under my sentiment.

Back to the truck, I used some scrap Very Vanilla CS and stamped the truck window and wood rails in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the wood slats with my light Crumb Cake Blends ink pen. I fussy cut out both and glued them to my truck. Stampin’ Up used to sell chalk pens, so I used one to highlight where the truck would have light spots (hint - use the stamped image as your guide). You can also use a Blender Pen and the White Craft Stampin’ Ink pad to get the same effect.

I took a 9” piece of the 2023-25 In Color Jute Trim in Copper Clay and unwound it to get 1/3 of the bulk to add behind my truck. I then popped up the truck with Stampin’ Dimensionals. My final touches were The Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems in Champagne and a 2-1/4” of DSP for the envelope flap.

With Deepest Sympathy

While sympathy cards can be beautiful, they are hard for me, but necessary at times. I lost a beloved aunti this last week and knew I needed to use the same gorgeous All About Autumn SDSP. I feel like the light shining through the forest shows the promise I have of being with my loved ones again in Heaven.

For this card, I used the beautiful Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder to emboss a 1-1/4”x5-1/2” piece of Copper Clay CS, glued to the left side of a Very Vanilla Thick CS A2 card. I cut a 3”x5-1/2” layer of DSP for the right side of the card front. I then glued a 1/2”x5-1/2” strip of Oxidized Copper SDSP between the two.

I used the Something Fancy stamp set to stamp my sentiment with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ ink and die cut it out with the label from Autumn Leaves Dies, then popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals in the lower right corner of the card.

I also used the dies to cut out the large maple leaf, the oak and little leaf in the two Oxidized Copper Sepcialty DSP sheets, then ran the largest leaf in the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. I then popped them up under the corner of the sentiment label, stacking the smaller two leaves on top.

For the embellishments, I used the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins in copper for the final touch. For the envelope, I used one of the coordinating All About Autumn DSP foiled side. So Lovely.
