Beautiful Boho Beach Kit
What better way to celebrate the change in weather than a beautiful beach card kit called Boho Beach Kit from Stampin’ Up!’s amazing Kit Collection! This “acrylic-poured-paint art style” used for the cards is scrumptious and evokes a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing beach time and makes for an AMAZING scrapbook spread! I used this wonderful kit for my Fri-Yay Kit-Together FB Live (every Friday at 10:30 AM CT) this last week and had such a great time!
The stunning Boho Beach Kit makes 8 beautiful cards in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Pecan Pie, and Crumb Cake colors, with elements that add wonderful texture and layers to your cards. Using them for a scrapbook took it to the next level for me!
This beautiful kit is so lovely, yet simple that it took very little to make a stunning scrapbook layout.
I started with a 12”x12” Pecan Pie CS base, then added an 11”x17” layer of Lost Lagoon CS on the top inside corner. Before gluing them down, I added Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Pad ink and Pecan Pie ink using the speckled stamp in the kit to add the look of wet sand. I did the same to the Lost Lagoon, using Lost Lagoon ink instead. I then used Wink Of Stella to splatter on the cardstock.
I used 3 of the cards for this layout (two of the water/sand and one of the sand only). Over that, I placed 1 card with both the water and sand artistic depiction on both spreads on the inside edge towards the bottom, then tore one card into 3 parts with the sand artistic depiction and added it to the bottom, lined up with the bottom of the spread. watch video for placement instructions…
Once the main cardstock and cards were placed, I layered my photos with a mix of Pool Party CS, Crumb Cake CS and two kit envelopes cut apart as a layer. As typical, I use layers that are 1/8” bigger for each layer beyond the photo. Photos shown are 3-1/2”x5” and I did not cut any down as I loved the ratio and what was shown.
I ripped a couple of scraps of the envelope to tuck under a couple of the photos and then added kit pieces as shown. For the text, I used Alphabet A La Mode and used Crumb Cake CS and more of the envelope scraps.
The little sentiments were stamped using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White CS and Pool Party ink on Pool Party CS. I then cut them to layer over the sentiment labels included in the kit as shown. They turned out great as little tags next to the photos. I added the kit Linen Thread to wrap around one photo and looped a bit under some of the stylized sea shells. My last little touches was Wink Of Stella added to the large font words, the sea shells and the sand, and a number of the Iridescent Foil Gems. I love that I added so little to the original kit for a stunning spread. watch the video for more instructions… (more photos below)
