Merry Christmas

This festive card foliage comes primarily from the Rings of Love FREE 12”x12” DSP sheet that has all the foliage on it. I have a sweet friend that let me use her Brother’s ScanNCut to cut out all the foliage on two sheets. It took about 40 minutes rather than hours of fussy cutting and I had all kinds of leaves, berries and mushrooms to add to my cards. I fussy cut the house, another image from the FREE DSP.

I used a 5”x10” card base in Evening Evergreen CS, scored at 5” to go in a 5-1/4” White Linen envelope I got from Amazon. I used a piece of 4-7/8” square piece of Basic White CS.

For the ring I used as a base for where the foliage would go, I used the two largest of the Layering Circle dies to cut out a CS ring from the Basic White CS and glued it down. I then layered the foliage in one direction going around the ring until I was satisfied with the wreath using both Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to secure the foliage. The green house was fussy cut from another sheet of DSP and popped up with DSP to the card front.

For the sentiment, I used the Ringed in Nature stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on Basic White CS, then fussy cut and popped up on Stampin Dimensionals. I added a pretty triple bow in Evening Evergreen 3/8” Windowpane Check and Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to some of the berries.

Love & Warmth

July is World Watercolor Month, and so I decided to create a card for my upline swap that had a random watercolored background. The base of the card is a piece of 5-1/2”x8-1/2” (scored at 4-1/4”) Basic White Thick CS. The next layer is a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” of Basic White CS embossed with the Timber 3D EF, glued to the card base. I used a 3-1/4”x4-1/2” piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper, layered over a 3-3/8”x4-5/8” piece of Evening Evergreen CS.

After watercoloring the background, using Parakeet Party, Poppy Parade, Evening Evergreen, and Crushed Curry ink, I splattered more ink, then used the Leaf Fall 3D EF. I then used the inside edge of my Paper Snips Scissors to rough up with edges of both sheets of the Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and the Evening Evergreen CS. I glued them in together a bit wonky, then popped them up on the embossed card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The watercolored tree ring in this card is from another of the FREE 12”x12” DSP, and it coordinated perfectly with Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. I used the Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss and die cut out the tree ring, then popped it up on the lower left hand corner of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then placed the foliage using Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals, starting at the lower left hand corner as well, making sure some of the tree rings was still showing. I included a bit of the acorns and oak leaves fussy cut from another of the FREE DSP.

I stamped the sentiment from Ringed in Nature Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen ink, then die cut it with the Mini Pocket Envelope rectangle die, then glued it to a layer of 1-5/8”x2” piece of Evening Evergreen CS, popping it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I placed a couple of butterflies on both sides of the sentiment, then added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots. I added a triple bow in Linen Thread, adhered it with Glue Dots and adding a fussy cut maple leave over the knot.

Just For You

This adorable card features cute little mushrooms from the same sheet mentioned above, fussy cut with the CutNEmboss Machine and sprinkled with love! For the card base I used the 5-1/2”x8-1/2” (scored at 4-1/4”) in Basic White Thick CS, with a 3-3/4”x5” layer of the 2022-24 In Color 6”x6” Assorted DSP in Parakeet Party glued to the base. For the card front I used a 3-1/4”x4-1/2” piece of Basic White CS and used Parakeet Party Ink and Blending Brush to add the green to the bottom.

For the clouds, I used a spare 6”x2” piece of CS, die cut with the cloud die from the Basic Borders Dies, then use Night of Navy Ink and a Blending Brush, starting from the top (watch this instruction video) and lightly adding color as you shift the die cut clouds down.

Once the clouds are done, I glued the card front to a 3-3/8”x4-5/8” piece of Night of Navy CS, then popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the mushrooms and butterflies with a mix of Glue Dots (for the back mushrooms) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (for the front mushrooms). I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink, then fussy cut it out and added in Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up. The final touch is the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots in Parakeet Party.

Happy Anniversary

This lovely anniversary card was a continuation of the use of the above foliage. this time I paired it with the lovely Distressed Gold 12”x12” Specialty Paper. The card base is a 5-1/2”x8-1/2” (scored at 4-1/4”) piece of Basic White CS, with a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” layer of Evening Evergreen CS and the 4”x5-1/2” layer of Distressed Gold SP, embossed with the lovely Twig & Sprig Embossing Folder then both glued to the card front.I used the Stylish Shapes’ largest circle for the base of the focal point. After I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen Ink, I popped it up in the lower left corner of the card front using Stampin Dimensionals. I die cut some foliage with berries using the Distressed Gold SP and dispersed it through the foliage, layering and adding Glue Dots or Stampin’ Dimensionals as needed. The final touch was the Brushed Metallic Dots in gold.
