In The Moment
Coming soon is the new 2022 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog and this wonderful stamp set, In The Moment. Sometimes I just need to sit down and color, and this set was a pleasure! It brings to mind all my favorite “me” times, reminding me to take time to relax, restore, or remember what brings me joy…
Relax
Featured in this pretty little card on the right is the new In The Moment cling stamp set, and came as part of my OnStage Swag Bag! I love every image in this stamp set and could not wait to have the time to color using my blends. The card base is Pool Party CS, and the next layer is from the In Good Taste DSP. I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the image and verse on Basic White CS so it would not smear when using Stamping Blends.
I used the following Stamping Blends: Pool Party (book), Bermuda Bay (slacks), Pale Papaya (pillow & comforter), Mango Melody (shawl), Gray Granite (socks), Ivory (skin), Crumb Cake & Soft Suede (hair & dog). I used Everyday Label punch for the verse and for the layer under in Pool Party CS, then used the Layering Circles for the image and layer in Pool Party CS. I popped both up with the Stampin Dimensionals, with a bow in the Pool Party 3/8” Sheer ribbon tied across the circle. The final touch was Artistry Bloom Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Coastal Cabana.
…In My Thoughts
The peaceful card to the right was something I had wanted to try for a while. I stamped the image and verse directly onto the In Good Taste DSP with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink, and again on a scrap of Basic White DSP. After coloring the woman, I fussy cut around her and the pillows, then glued it onto the DSP, lining it up with the rest of the image. I layered the DSP (3-7/16”x4-11/16”) over Misty Moonlight CS (3-1/2”x4-3/4”), over Basic White CS (3-3/4”X5”), popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Balmy Blue CS base. I used the Light Smokey Slate blend for the color in the windows.
I used Gray Granite blends under the ladies feet, pillow and rear. I used a mix of So Saffron and Crumb Cake on the hair. I used Night of Navy dark and light on the jeans, and Balmy Blue light & dark blend on the pillow. I used Ivory and Petal Pink Blends on the skin. I left most of the shirt and mug untouched, but gave a little Light Smokey Slate for the shadow. For the final touch is the Classic Matte Dots from the upcoming January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. You will love them as they come in Basic Black, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, and White.
Be Good To Yourself
This fun card brings to mind the calling of seagulls and a light warm breeze.
I used the Basic White Thick CS for the base, with a layer of 4”x5-1/4” Gray Granite CS. I used another piece of the In Good Taste DSP (4-1/8”x2-7/8”). The Stampin Blends I used for this card was Pale Papaya for the hat, Flirty Flamingo for the blouse & skirt, Gray Granite for the railing, Bronze for the hair, and Crumb Cake and Ivory for the skin tone. I used Misty Moonlight Light for the sky/sea and the wine is Cherry Cobbler.
I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink again for the verse and stamped image on Basic White CS, then cut both out using Tasteful Labels. Before adhering both, I tied the Gray Granite 1/4” Shimmer Ribbon in a bow. I then popped up the image and verse using Stampin Dimensionals. The final touch was the Classic Matte Dots from the upcoming January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.
