Rooted In Nature - Fall
I LOVE fall colors and enjoy working with any kind of foliage or flowers, especially when Stampin’ Up! does such a stunning job creating stamps and dies that have so much versatility. Rooted in Nature rubber cling stamps and Nature’s Roots dies are just one of many amazing sets that can be used for fall and year around.
On this 3”x3” square for the leaves, I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Nature’s Roots dies, inks (Stampin’ Ink refills: Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry, & Blackberry Bliss), Shimmer Paint and Stampin Spritzers (use this video to learn how to make shimmer spritz spray). For cardstock, I used a 3”x3” Mossy Meadow cardstock piece, embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, Gold Foil (cut to 2-3/4”x2-3/4” and used for the sprigs from Forever Flourishing Dies), the top square is using In Good Taste DSP and cut with the largest of the Stitched Shapes Square dies, and then stamped with the Very Versailles script stamp. I used the Gold Cord from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, In Good Taste Elements (wood sprig), and the Gilded Gems. One other note on the leaves, I used a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso Ink on the leaf edges so they looked finished. (more cards below)
