Best Birthday

For this sweet little birthday card, I used a card base in Basic Black cardstock (8-1/2”x5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”). I then took a 4”x5-1/4” of Pool Party CS, stamped it with Pool Party ink with the little leaf sprig, then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I added a 2”x5-1/4” strip of DSP about a 1/4” from the top of the Pool Party CS. I stamped the image and verse on Basic White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then cut the image out with the Layering Circle dies. I used the Banners Pick A Punch for the 1” strip of Basic White CS. I layered both with Basic Black CS.

For the image flower centers, I used the Pool Party Blends to add a little visual interest, then completed the card with the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels in Coastal Cabana. Don’t forget the envelop and the inside of your card! Both have been stamped with the same leaf sprig in the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the Pool Party Ink! Easy peasy! more pics below…

Hello Friend

This sweet little card is super simple really, as a watercolor wash for your background is easy to achieve - and nothing is wrong! I am using the Stampin’ Up! Fluid 100 Watercolor paper (3-3/8”x4-7/8”) over a layer of Basic Black CS (3-1/2”x5”) over a layer of Friendly Hello DSP, popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card base is Basic White CS (8-1/2”x5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”). I used the Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water to wet down my watercolor paper, then using the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Pad Ink with the Water Painter, I apply the ink, dipping into the pad.

Once I got the layers and colors about where I want, I splatter more color randomly across the paper. Once dry, I splatter the Black Stampin’ Blend, and then turn up the edges with either the edge of an open Snips or my finger nail. I added the Playful Pets Trim Combo Black/White Bakers Twine with the Fresh Freesia 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon for the bow, adhered with Glue Dots and the new Classic Matte Dots in Basic Black.
