Sweet Talk Suite Collection

Valentines is just a month away, so my January Stamp Class featured the new Sweet Talk Suite from the new Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog! With darling little conversation hearts saying “UR CUTE” or “BFF” on the Sweet Talk 12”x12” DSP, an adorable Gingham Embossing Folder, Sweet Conversations Bundle, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Real Red 3/8” Faux Linen Ribbon, and Sweet Little Boxes, what is not to LOVE about this suite!!

Sweet Little Boxes

For our first project, we made this cute little box, using the convenient Sweet Little Box. Once assembled with the flap on top, wrap the Sweet Talk DSP (3-1/2”x6”) around the gift box (it will be wrapped around 3 sides and a little bit around the front side. I placed the piece of Real Red CS on the front (3-1/2”x2-1/2”), then glued on the smaller DSP piece (3-3/8”x2-3/8”), centered on the Real Red CS. Stamp the greeting in Real Red Stampin’ Pad Ink on the Basic White CS scrap, then die cut it with the tag from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Die cut 4 the mini red hearts from the Real Red CS scrap. Pop up the tag on the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tie Real Red 3/8” Faux Linen ribbon (16”) around box and thread through the tag and tie a bow. Add the red hearts using Stampin Dimensionals. I colored 3-Rhinestone Basic Jewels with Real Red Blend Dark. Add them to the three hearts.

This gift box works perfectly to add Sweet Heart sweets or chocolates. more pics below…

Happy Valentines Day

For our second project, we made this fun card. Fold Basic White CS card base at score line and use Bone Folder to flatten. Stamp 6 hearts using a mix of the hearts, stripes (cut out heart with die), speckles (cut out heart with die), and make 2-each different heart shapes using 6-different colors. I used Blushing Bride, Real Red, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay Ink. Use the dies to cut them out. Glue the Bermuda Bay CS (2-1/4”x4-1/4”) on your Basic White CS base, about ¼” from the bottom of the card front, then glue Sweet Talk DSP (2”x4”) layer over, centered on CS.

Using the scrap ½”x4” strip of Basic White CS and the DSP as a guide, place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the strip, then place hearts to match the DSP rainbow. Stamp greeting on card, above where the heart will lie in Bermuda Bay Ink or inside the card (you choose). Glue strip on card front so hearts are just above the Bermuda Bay CS piece. Add Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels on the heart with red striped ink. Choose an ink color and heart shape stamp to stamp your envelope. more pics below…

Envelope of Love

This was my favorite project, and was CASE’d from the catalog with some tweaks. I love how the adorable hearts are just floating out of the itty bitty Vellum envelope!

Fold Coastal Cabana CS card base (8-1/2”x5-1/2” card base scored at 4-1/4”) and use bone folder to flatten fold. Glue Basic White CS (4-1/8”x5-3/8”) layer to card base.

Using the Gingham Embossing Folder, open wide and LIGHTLY ink one side of the inside of the embossing folder. If you press your ink pad down too much, it causes the pattern to go away. Carefully lay your Pool Party CS layer (3-3/4”x5”) on the inside edge you inked. Carefully close and run through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to get the gingham print along with the embossed impressions. Glue this layer to the card front, centered on the Basic White CS.

Use the Scalloped Contour die (2-1/2”x3-3/4”) for the Basic White CS piece & glue to card front at an angle. Die cut and then glue the Petal Pink CS layer with the Stitched Rectangle dies (1-3/4”x3-1/8”) to the white layer.

Cut out the mini envelope and 3 hearts from the Vellum CS. Fold 3 sides of the vellum envelop and secure closed with a Glue Dot or glue. Wrap Bakers Twine around mini envelope and tie a bow, then glue it to Petal Pink CS layer towards the bottom so there is room for the hearts to float up. Die cut out the hearts you want to use from the Sweet Talk 12”x12” DSP, making sure your heart colors and messages are all different. Glue a vellum heart to corresponding DSP hearts.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, stagger the hearts coming out of the mini envelope, with one inside the envelope.

The hearts are so cute, I didn’t like leaving even the pieces of hearts, so decided to add them to inside of the card or the envelope.

Place the extra DSP hearts along the edges of paper or at the envelop edge. Any edges can go against the edge of the card or white layer. The final touch is the absolutely beautiful new Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Place as desired.

hey, boo

While this card was not from my class, I wanted a sample that showed the versatility of the Sweet Hearts Dies by adding the FREE (with $50 purchase) Sunshine & Rainbows 6”x6” DSP from the new Sale-a-bration Catalog. This cute cloud comes from the DSP and can be punched using the new Cloud Punch (I fussy cut as I did not have the punch yet). The verse comes from the new FREE (with $100 purchase) Special Moments, is stamped using Coastal Cabana ink, and cut with the Messages die.

I used a Basic White Thick CS as the base (8-1/2”x5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”), with a 4”x5-1/4” layer of Basic White CS. For the score lines, I used the Simply Scored scoring tool, and the large stylus on the Take Your Pick tool, scoring 7 lines 1/4” apart. I scored the envelope to match.

I like the CAS (clean and simple) card look, so decided I would use a bunch of white hearts from another project and decided by adding the clouds, I could get a cute simple card from the combo. The cloud, verse and hearts are all popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
