Heart & Home Card Box Gift Mar 17 Written By Angela Meyer I love to make beautiful gift boxes full of cards for birthdays and holidays. This lovely box was very easy utilizing the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box from Stampin’ Up! These boxes fit Note Cards & Envelopes perfectly, so make a beautiful boxed set for any occasion. By utilizing the lovely Heart & Home Suite Collection Bundles, Blessings of Home Bundle and the Honeybee Home stamp set, I was inspired to watercolor the floral images for card fronts. For each card and the box front, I used the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, cut down as needed. Typically I use the Stazon ink for watercoloring, but decided to use the Basic Gray ink pad to stamp the images I wanted as it tends to be a more subtle outline. I used the smallest Water Painters with the 2021-22 In Colors Polished Pink ink, Fresh Freesia ink, Pale Papaya ink, and Soft Succulent ink. I used a very pale wash of the Basic Gray ink to outline the floral images I was going to die cut out to help the colors pop. All three cards have used the Heart & Home DSP layers of 3-3/8”x4-7/8” glued to the Note Card & Envelope. Two of the cards used 2-1/2”x4-1/4” piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, glued to a 2-5/8”x4-3/8” piece of Soft Succulent CS, tying a 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon in Soft Succulent into a bow and then popped up on the DSP layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the sentiments from the Honeybee Home stamp set. Two of them were stamped in Basic Gray Ink on Basic White CS, die cut with Tailor Made Tag dies, and the third card uses one of the smaller Stitched Rectangle dies, popped up on Stampin Dimensionals. The third card had the floral image die cut with the Flowering Home dies, then glued to a layer of Soft Succulent CS, fussy cut around the image and popped up on Stampin Dimensionals on the DSP layer. I then tied a small bow in the Soft Succulent 1/2" Satin Shimmer Ribbon and then glued it to the card under the flowers with Glue Dots. Each of the Note Card Envelopes have a corresponding image stamped with a corresponding ink color. For the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box, I used a 10”x5-1/2” piece of the Heart & Home DSP in the wood planks. By cutting them all from the same section of DSP, the wood grain matches up on all the long sides. The front and back have a 3-1/2”x5-1/2” piece, the long sides have 7/8”x5-1/2”pieces, and the short ends have 7/8”x3-1/2” pieces glued down. The front and back also have a 3-1/8”x5-1/8” piece of Soft Succulent CS glued to a 3”x5” piece of floral Heart & Home DSP. Before gluing down the layered pieces to the front and back, place the length of Soft Succulent 1/2" Satin Shimmer Ribbon (24”), and tie in a bow at the box front corner, then glue down layers so the ribbon stays in place. For the front side, I use a 2-3/4”x4-3/4” piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and watercolored a background in Pale Papaya ink. I then used the Soft Succulent Dark Blend to splatter it, then glued the layer onto the front panel. I used both the floral images from the Blessings of Home Bundle on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with the Basic Gray ink, then after watercoloring with the same colors mentioned above, I die cut them out. I popped them both up with Stampin Dimensionals. For the final touches I added the sprigs from the Honeybee Bloom dies and Genial Gems to the box front and to the front of all the cards.
