Easter Blessings

When I get to scrapbook sweet memories, there is something so profound that happens to my heart. I am memorializing special moments in my life… and as others journal in a written form in diaries, I am journaling in a visual form. My heart gets to relive the cherished moments again… and as this was our last Easter with Christina, the memories are even more poignant for me.

Each holiday without a loved one can be hard on our hearts… so by recreating memories for my husband, children and grandchildren to look through and enjoy as well… our wounded hearts have another chance to repair. Healing and the eternal hope of Jesus is what Easter is all about, so what better way to again celebrate an Easter Blessing… from the last time we all got to be together.

I loved the Storybook Life Scrapbooking Workshop Kit for our Easter celebration from last year with my stepdaughter Christina and her family. You Are So Sweet

For this sweet easter layout, I used the project No.3 from the beautifully colored and detailed instructions from the kit. My kit was missing the Basic Beige Two-Toned Cardstock, so I switched it to use Soft Sea Foam 12x12 Cardstock as my base for both pages. I then followed the instructions for the top borders and bands. While I did not have the same size pictures, I was able to alter the layout to work with what I had.

Don’t be afraid to make the structured layouts your way. I love to explore ways to mix and match these gorgeous papers, stickers, and stamps to bring my springtime stories to life.

I loved adding a few extra elements from the Storybook Moments DSP punch-out art. So adorable! I also added a couple of the sentiments from the Storybook Life Stamp Set to complete my layouts.
