Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies

The new hybrid embossing folders from Stampin’ Up! are the BOMB!! The new Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies are so very beautiful.

I love how you can get the gorgeous embossed image and die cut them at the same time!! The folder dies have the option of a bundle and 10% discount if you include the Love & Happiness cling stamp set, but I have lots of similar verses, so used what I have instead.

Happy Valentines Day

This lovely card was another of my stamp camp cards. While the verse is from Sweet Conversations stamp set (from the Sweet Talk Suite), the beautiful cardstock is the FREE (with $50 purchase) Sale-a-bration Simply Marbelous 6”x6” DSP. The paper comes in Balmy Blue/Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather/Gorgeous Grape, Blushing Bride/Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana/Pool Party, Bumblebee/So Saffron, and Basic Gray/Smokey Slate color combinations. Using the stunning DSP with the gorgeous Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies was a win win!!

Fold over the Blushing Bride card base (8-1/2”x5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”) and use the bone folder to flatten fold. Glue the Basic White CS layer (4-1/8”x5-3/8”) onto the card base. Take 4”x5-1/4” DSP and place in embossing folder, along with heart die, centered on the heart and emboss in Stampin’ Cut & emboss machine. Glue embossed DSP without heart onto Basic White CS on card front.

I used the heart die to make a heart shape slighting larger than the die cut heart by marking the outline of the die with pencil on CS, then cut it out. Glue heart in Blushing Bride CS to DSP, then pop up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, centered in cut out heart.

Stamp verse on scrap of Basic White CS, then die cut using the verse die from Bouquet of Love dies. Take Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and make a bow with 3 loops. Using Glue Dots to place ribbon, then pop up verse over ribbon. Add matching Pastel Pearls as desired.

Emboss DSP scraps as well, then use scraps inside card for borders or die cut hearts out of remaining piece. For the envelope, I placed envelope flap into embossing folder about 1-1/2” and emboss for a pretty look (see image below for example).

Love

This exquisite card was made using the same Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies, but using the new Mother Of Pearl 12”x12” Specialty Paper. This image hardly does it justice, but it has an iridescent pure white finish that embosses beautifully. I popped up over a Basic White Thick CS base (8-1/2”x5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”), a 4-1/8”x5-3/8” piece of Basic White CS, then a glued a 4”x5-1/4” piece of the embossed and die cut Mother Of Pearl 12”x12” Specialty Paper over that.

The embossed heart was popped up with Stampin Dimensionals above the die cut heart hole to add more dimension to the card, and is the reason I have that extra layer off Basic White CS in between the base and the Mother Of Pearl 12”x12” Specialty Paper. Because the finish on this cardstock is shiny, for the verse I used Black Stazon Ink to stamp “Love” (from the Forever Blossom stamp set) on a small heart die cut from the same specialty paper, and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.

I added another one of my favorite fluffy bows using Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, adhering it with Glue dots on both sides of the knot. The final touch was the lovely new Brushed Brass Butterflies. Just lovely!! more pics below…
