Fri-Yay Kit-Together – Garden of Thanks Kit & Scrapbook Layout

Garden of Thanks Kit

What a pleasure the beautiful Garden of Thanks Kit was to work with. Not only does it make 9 gorgeous cards, but it can make for stunning scrapbook pages as well!

I love the soft watercolor look of the florals along with the gold foil on the Garden of Thanks Kit. This beautiful kit is super easy for 9 (3 designs) thank you cards for only $23.00. The sentiments are perfectly sweet, and I love the pre-printed Thank you font! It took me just minutes to finish 3 cards in my FB live this morning. (Join me at 10:30 AM CT)

This lovely scrapbook spread really did not take me long to come up with. I started with two Bubble Bath 12”x12” CS bases, then added a 5-3/4”x12” layer of Berry Burst CS for the left spread to coordinate and frame the gorgeous floral card base (5-1/2”x8-1/2”). I added two strips of 1-1/2”x12” gold foiled and sprigged Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP. The strip of gold foiled white is actually the kit envelope flaps, cut down to 5”x1-3/4” and adhered end to end to make the stip.

My photo was a 5”x7” that I cut down to a managable size, then layered it with Basic White CS and Berry Burst CS. I then offset it to the right of the pretty floral card base to balance the page. I fussy cut out some of the Nature’s Sweetness foliage to add to this spread and added the sentiment labels and elements from the kit.

I had a little left over envelope flap that I used to journal on as well. My “friends forever” was a font I found in my MS Word program called Mystical Woods Rough Script. I just altered the font to 90 pt and colored it to match as close as I could to Berry Burst, then printed it on regular printer paper and fussy cut it out.

My second page was the same elements as the first, but used the remaining 6-1/4”x12” piece of Berry Burst CS with two more 1-1/2” pieces of Nature’s Sweetness Specialty CS. I then layered the Misty Moonlight and White card bases down for my photos (again - 5”x7”, cut down).

The kits always have extra labels and so I used two of them to write on, adding to my layout. I added extra adhesive backed gold sequins from the kit in odd numbers on each layout. I am super stoked about this pretty spread showcasing my beautiful friend and our amazing concert evening!!
