Marvelous Monday – Frosted Forest Bundle  Lovely Cards

Frosted Forest Bundle

For my Marvelous Monday, I shared some lovely cards using the Frosted Forest Bundle. This fun bundle has not only stamps and dies, but also some wonderful stencils! There is so much that can be done with these tools that you will need to add them to your fall & holiday card making as well! I needed some masculine cards and this bundle is fabulous for that.

The Online Exclusive Frosted Forest Bundle includes the stamp set, dies and the stencils! What a deal! Reminder: “Online Exclusive” means it is not in a catalog, but can be found on the Stampin’ Up! website as supplies last.

Silhouette Birthday Wishes

These lovely & simple cards are from using the tree die and the stamp set. I used the Thoughtful Journey 6”x6” DSP for the sunset backgrounds of the silhouettes and absolutely love all of these cards! I started with an A2 card base in Basic White Thick CS (4-1/4”x11”). I then die cut the trees from Basic Black CS and glued it to a 4-3/4”x3-1/2” layer of DSP. I then stamped the sentiment using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. This layer has been added to a 5”x3-3/4” layer of Cajun Craze CS and then added to a 5-1/8”x3-7/8” layer of Basic Black and glued to the card base. Finally, I added The Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots.

Thinking Of You

This lovely fall themed card was made using the stencils on the Thoughtful Journey DSP. You will want to watch my YouTube for step-by-step instructions for the stencils. I used an A2 card base in Basic White Thick CS. I used a 3”x 4-1/4” layer of DSP that gave me a grassy looking base in fall colors to anchor my design and stamped my tree in Mossy Meadow Ink. I used the trunk stencil, Blending Brush and Early Espresso ink to make the trunk brown. I then used Old Olive ink, a Blending Brush and the tree stencil to give the tree foliage an overall green color before applying my fall color inks with Sponge Daubers. Colors used was Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive & Blackberry Bliss.

After the tree stencils were removed, I added more blackberry bliss around the foliage. I then glued the DSP to a 3-1/4”x4-1/2” layer of Blackberry Bliss. I stamped the sentiment on a 1/2”x4-1/4” scrap of Basic White CS in Blackberry Bliss ink, then gluing it to a 3/4”x4-1/4” layer of Blackberry Bliss CS.

I popped the sentiment up using Stampin’ Dimensionals across the lower area of the card. For the popped up leaf, I used some scrap DSP, utilizing the Autumn Leaves die. For the final touch, I used the the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots.

No Beauty Shines Brighter

For the final card, I CASE’d this from CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Page. They got the card from page 120 of the 2024-25 Annual Catalog and then I used it for my team challenge this month. Every week, they CASE another card from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and it is great inspiration. CASE it a lot or a little… you will love the results. #caseingtuesday472

I used the spruce tree dies in Shaded Spruce CS and Pretty Peacock CS. Using the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and a palette knife, I dabbed the paste across the die cut trees, then set them aside and let dry. The Shimmery White Embossing Paste creates a wonderful sparkly snowy look.

For my card base, I used an A2 Basic Beige card base. For the DSP, I used the Country Woods 12”x12” DSP and cut it into 3-each 5-1/2”x1-1/4”. I then glued the strips down. For the sentiment, I used a 1-1/2”x2-1/2” scrap of the Country Woods DSP in a light color and stamped it with Early Espresso ink, then popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Once my trees were dry, I used glue dots on the smaller trees and cut Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for the larger tree so it would layer nicely over the other trees. With the sparkle on the trees, I didn’t feel I needed an embellishment. This simple but elegant card can easily become a Christmas card as well by just changing out the sentiment.
