Snowflake Splendor Suite
In the heat of Southern California in August, what is more refreshing that working with darling little snowflakes! The new Snowflake Splendor Suite from Stampin’ Up!’s new August - December 2020 Mini is absolutely gorgeous and makes stunning cards and paper artwork! The suite includes beautifully dainty Snowflake Wishes photopolymer stamps and So Many Snowflake dies, gorgeous Snowflake Splendor DSP and Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, a lovely Winter Snow Embossing Folder, pretty Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems, and sweet Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. See below video for a look at the wonderful elements of this suite!
The below cards made with the Snowflake Splendor Suite utilize cardstock that match the Snowflake Splendor DSP; Whisper White, Vellum, Pacific Point, and Highland Heather. I loved the multiple colors in the hand painted watercolor imagery in the Snowflake Splendor DSP, and so tried to emulate that by stamping the verses in first the lighter color (like Highland Heather ink), then dipping into the darker ink pad, like the Pacific Point or Night of Navy ink (you can also use daubers). Then of course I could not put down the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush… and found myself adding bling to nearly every sweet little snowflake. The Whisper White and Vellum Cardstock was embossed with the Winter Snow folder. I used the Tasteful Label and Stitched Rectangle dies for the verses, and used the Stitched Nested Label dies to match the shape of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper’s nested snowflake die. The Highland Heather light blend pen made the Snowflake Splendor ribbon match the cardstock perfectly on the highland heather card! Don’t forget the bling and add the Blue Adhesive-Back Gems!
This set of cards (below) utilized the Snowflake Splendor Suite’s Snowflake Splendor DSP, along with the Whisper White, Vellum, Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight , Highland Heather & Pacific Point cardstock and then the Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Highland Heather inks. The So Many Snowflake dies with Balmy Blue Glimmer paper is just stunning against the white cardstock embossed with the Winter Snow embossing folder. I used both the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and the Navy Holiday Rhinestones for the extra bling. I also used the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder on some of the DSP, and used the Stitched Nested Label and Tasteful Label dies. Can you figure out which snowflakes have the Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen?
